Key Rotary Contacts around World

These are some of the people on our team.  They talk about the need, do the work, and connect us to other potential partners.  We have many dedicated Rotarians in each of our partnering clubs and districts who raise money.  We thank every club and every Rotarian who have helped to provide clean water in Ghana.  Move your mouse over each photograph to learn more about our team.

  • Samuel Obour Samuel Obour Samuel Obour leads the Sunyani Central Rotary Club. He is eager to make a difference in Ghana. He has a very dedicated team.
  • Kurt Bay Kurt Bay What happens when the inspector loves your project? Kurt Bay joined the effort after he approved our idea for Ghana. He is Swiss.
  • Nurses & Doctors Nurses & Doctors Our goal is to give dedicated doctors and nurses the tools to help the patients suffering from neglected tropical diseases like Buruli Ulcer.
  • Wes Patterson Wes Patterson Wes Patterson was the reason why Global Grant 25176 got approved this year. Wes and Thomasville, NC Rotary Club sponsored our work.
  • Sandy Duckworth Sandy has a passion for clean water. She is a champion for our work in District 7610. Sandy also promotes clean water throughout Rotary.
  • Tom Greenstreet Tom Greenstreet Tom Greenstreet had all of the Rotary clubs in West Virginia raise money for clean water in Ghana through his "water jug" project.
  • Peter Coats Peter Coats Peter Coats is the grandson of Ken Tuck who helped to get this whole thing started. He loves to see healthy kids playing soccer.
  • Walter Hughes Walter Hughes Walter writes matching grants and tells people about the need to have water to drink and be free of neglected tropical diseases. He is District 7570 Grants Chair.
  • Short-term Teams You are welcome to join us on a trip to Ghana to see the work that we are doing. Our last team went in March 2011.
  • Guinea Worm Team Guinea Worm Team Jim Niquette (left) and Dr. Korkor (right) were key leaders in eradication of Guinea Worm Disease in Ghana by 2010. We helped them! Now, we want to do it again in South Sudan.
  • Michael Nsiah Michael Nsiah Rotarian Michael Nsiah fought to bring Buruli Ulcer to the attention of the International Rotarians as the next priority disease.
  • Community Health Workers Health Workers We are training volunteers in the villages to detect and care for diseases early while Buruli Ulcer is easier to treat. They care for the people.
  • Ben Coe Ben Coe PDG Ben Coe and the other members of the Watertown, NY World Community Service Team are champions of the work in Ghana.
  • Michael Anekeyse Michael Anekeyse Michael works for Living Water to repair wells and teach the Water and Sanitation Committee of each village how to maintain their well.
  • Kenny Lovelace Kenny Lovelace Past President Kenny went to Ghana on four different teams. Henry County, VA Rotary Club raises money every year for our matching grants.

We can change the world, one person at a time, and one drink of water at a time.
