We are always looking for help. We are looking for Rotary Clubs and Districts to join the effort to provide clean water in Ghana. We are also looking for help in preparing and managing the Rotary humanitarian grants. Please contact Walter Hughes to discuss ways that you can get involved. Some of the ways to get involved:
Ask Your Club to make a pledge to the Ghana or South Sudan Clean Water Project Grants for the next year.
Speak about the needs for clean water to Rotary Clubs in Your District. We’ll provide the video and presentation that you can use to inspire them to get involved.
Write Updates on the Grants to be sent out to the partnering Rotary Clubs and District Leadership.
Provide press release information that can be sent to local newspapers for a press release. Each project is owned by the club that is helping to fund the grant in West Africa. Word needs to get out what is being accomplished.
Get involved hands-on with these projects in West Africa. Join Walter on one of his trips to Ghana.
Help to Tell the Story through videos created using pictures and video taken of the actual project. We also need some of these videos in German for the potential partners in Switzerland and Germany.
Grant Writers help to review and write the initial matching grant applications. We also need people to prepare the budget and to help design and explain the solutions.
Partner Liaisons help us to identify potential partners like Living Water International or the Carter Center and to build a strong relationship.
Medical Evangelists to tell the need to treat diseases like Buruli Ulcer. We need to become experts in this disease and find the best way to reduce the cases within Ghana. We did it with Guinea Worm Disease and want to do it again.
Join a team going to Ghana to see the needs first hand
